great contributor to the
international development of
design. They did so with lamps
like Eclisse (1967, di Vico
Magistretti), Tolomeo (1989,
designed by Michele De Lucchi
and Giancarlo Fassina) and
Pipe (2004, designed by Herzog
& De Meuron) that all won the
Compasso d’Oro, but also with
the Compasso d’Oro itself and
the European Design Price
awarded in 1997 for their
business performance.
